They continue learn these subjects in the colleges and universities for their professional life.

Hey guys, I wanted to share the lyric that blew my mind a few years ago. For the longest time, when I heard "They paved paradise and put up a parking lot" I thought they were singing "Hey Paradise, put up a parking lot!" It went from a happy song of people wanting to visit a happy place to a sad song of people destroying a happy place. Mind you that I didn't figure this out until like 2010.

Thought you would think it was funny.

I thought of this double eggcorn while listening to your show.
Whet your appetite. I always thought it was wet your appetite, because of the saliva. But my dad explained it was whet, meaning to sharpen. "Like a whet stone" he explained. Well, I had always thought it was a wet stone, because it had to be wet when you used it.

I learned two things that day.

I recently discovered your podcast so I am listening to all the archived episodes. In this episode you missed the greatest American rock star in the mispronounced lyrics segment; Bruce Springsteen. Perhaps a future segment can feature all "the Boss'" unknown lyrics. Keep up the great work!
