Ep 3: You Want Truffle Fries With That?

Oh boy. How do we even begin to describe this episode? The original idea was to talk about expensive and luxurious gourmet food and the opulent stories behind them... but... well, let's just say we took a few intriguing turns and found ourselves in the absolutely eccentric (and dark) sector of the haute cuisine world. We really can't give too much away.

Prepare yourself. Seriously.

ALSO: Pop Quiz, foreign foods, weird name origins of companies

RUNTIME: 52:47

I discovered your podcast, a couple of days ago. I must say I already love it, and can't wait for more! GJB is a nice diversion from the technical podcasts to which I usually listen. That aside, I very much enjoyed this episode, albeit gross more interesting in parts. "Anal beaver juice" now has a special place in my lexicon.

Love the podcast! I am a trivia junkie so this is perfect. Although you have probably already found out-Helen Keller is on the back of the Alabama State Quarter. She was born in Tuscumbia, Alabama.

Wow. This episode was freaking fantastic! Could not stop laughing. Dana's quiet but quick snark is hilarious!

Listening to the podcast earlier, I nearly freaked out when you brought up HARIBO and it's founder, Hans Riegel (of Bonn, Germany). I'm from Texas, but I'm studying Graphic Design in Bonn right now so I'm all about Haribo! They have a gummy version of EVERYTHING!! Great show, by the way. I'm a bit of a trivia junkie myself, so naturally, I love it! Keep 'em coming!

I LOVE THIS PODCAST. Although now whenever I buy vanilla ice cream I find myself reading the list of ingredients and being disturbed by the "natural flavors" aka Anal beaver juice.
