An "Um, Actually": The name of the Sabertooth tiger in Ice Age is Diego. Sid is the name of the sloth voiced by John Leguizamo.

The liquid and solids in the port-a-potties goes the same place as the liquids and solids in your toilet, it is just transported there differently. Pump trucks remove the waste and haul it to the sewage treatment plant.

On your pronunciation of De Moines...

When talking about De Moines, Iowa. the "s" at the end is silent.

When talking about De Moines, Wa. the "s" is pronounced.

I am sure there are more than just Iowa and Washington De Moines'
