I'd be remiss if I didn't "um actually" Karen on Thai - Taiwan. She mentioned baht being Thai currency and then mentioned Taiwan. I'm sure it was a simple mistake, but I had to be that guy I guess :)

You ask why we call Deutschland Germany. Well, we have Julius Caesar to thank for that. He named the people that live in that area Germans, which mean "People of the spear" "ger" meaning spear". So Germany meant "Land of the peo0le of the spear." Just like Saxons were named for their knives.

As a hint during the native names of countries quiz, a hint for Finland was "It is a Scandinavian country." Although this hint led to the answer, Finland is not a part of Scandinavia. Scandinavia consists of Sweden, Norway, and Denmark. Finland is in fact a Nordic country though!
