172: Catch Up! Listener Challenge, Puffy Snakes, Xenografts

DIRECT DOWNLOAD  /  ITUNES  /  RSS

It's our catch-up episode, and we got lots weird facts to share and special listeners to thank. Karen's back from her 5 million races over the fast few weeks and has so many stories to tell (involving dolphin poop and oddly-shaped cucumbers), and had so many real-life listener encounters! Colin's got some interesting news about scientists discovering the first and only (?) odorless vertebrate animal. A listener mailbag featuring a real xenograft encounter, and take our music quiz listener challenge! Email gjb.podcast@gmail.com with your answer!

Thanks for the shout out, Karen! My husband really struggled through the last half of the marathon (thanks to the crazy humidity that morning!), so at that point I was almost literally dragging him to meet friends who were waiting with a beer in Norway and then on to the finish! Sorry again for the awkward hug...you know what all those miles can do to your brain. Unfortunately I can't come up with a clever response to Colin for the hologram quip, but made me chuckle. Thanks for the podcast!
