Listener Mailbag! - Allison P

Dear Karen, Colin, Dana, and Chris,

I recently started dating a man who berated me for my lack of interest in the podcast. Look, I told him, I can't stand listening to talking heads, blathering on about their super awesome famousness. I just don't care! Rawr! However, the other day, after a marathon of Seinfeld episodes that I listened to during work, I logged onto Stitcher and gave podcasts another chance.

I found GJB on Stitchers list of podcasts for people with short-attention spans. There, they featured your latest episode about plants. Plants, I squealed! I love plants! I devoured Amy Stewart's Wicked Plants (and also Wicked Bugs), and I found exactly the same kind of randomized weirdness in GJB.

At work, I am now the crazy person that brain vomits on her co-workers. " Dude, you guys, let me tell you all the stuff I just learned about sperm whale vomit!" I feel like it is making me a more interesting person. Or possibly a more ADD person. I can't shut up. My brain is too full.

So thank you, all of you. Thank you for filling up my brain with carrion plant, the eating habits of baby godzillas, and the order in which lucky charms marshmallows were introduced. I wish I didn't live in such a small town. We don't have a pub quiz for MILES in any direction. Shucks. I'd rock it out.

Our most sensational, inspirational, celebrational, Muppetational all-quiz show! Dana's got a round of Muppets trivia, Colin's got a geography and mononym celebrity names, Karen mixes things up with a mash-up round, and Chris quizzes us on very MAN-ly superhero names.
